Dr. Cowan is Higgins Professor of Neurology and Neurosciences at Stanford Uniiversity School of Medicine. He is the Director of headache and facial pain research program in the Department of Neurology. His research focuses on the chronification process in migraine utilizing imaging, deep phenotyping and prtoeomics. He also works in utilization of deep learning to facilitate the diaignosis and treatment development in headache and other chronic conditions with acute exacerbations.
