Michael J. Marmura, MD, is a Professor of Neurology and Director of the Outpatient operations at the Jefferson Headache Center, Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He is a Fellow of the American Headache Society and Academy of Neurology and board-certified in Neurology and Headache Medicine. He has served the American Headache Society as a Member of the Guidelines Committee and is a past chair of the Inpatient and Emergency Care Section.
Dr. Marmura has published extensively in the field of headache, and regularly participates in both American Headache Society and American Academy of Neurology meetings. Particular areas of interest include pharmacological treatment of headache, guidelines in headache medicine, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias,and the role of olfaction in headache disorders.
