Dr. Kingston is originally from Moncton, New Brunswick. He completed an undergraduate degree in biology at Queens University followed by undergraduate medical education at Saba University School of Medicine and then trained in adult neurology at the University of Toronto where he served his chief resident. He completed a Headache Medicine fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He is currently a full-time academic headache neurologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences centre and Assistant professor of neurology at University of Toronto. He is the founder and Director of the Sunnybrook headache clinic where he also founded the Headache Medicine fellowship. He also founded and directs the first dedicated headache and pregnancy clinic in Canada which is based at Sunnybrook. He serves on the board of directors of the Canadian headache society and migraine Canada. His major clinical research interests are in headache and pregnancy, headache in cerebrovascular disease and cluster headache.
