Dr. Fred Cohen is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Founder and Medical Director of Headache Intervention, a private headache clinic based in New York City. He earned his medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center, and pursued a fellowship in headache medicine at the Jefferson Headache Center. Dr. Cohen serves on multiple committees within the American Headache Society, including the Media Committee and the First Contact Committee, and is the current Chair of the Primary Front-Line Headache Care Special Interest Section. He also serves on the Board of Directors for both the National Headache Foundation and the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy. In addition, he is a member of the editorial boards for Headache and Current Pain and Headache Reports.
