Scott W. Powers is a Professor of Pediatrics and Psychology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, a Cincinnati Children’s Research Foundation Endowed Chair, and a member of the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology at Cincinnati Children’s. He is Co-Director of the Headache Center, a multi-disciplinary program he establish in 1996. The Center is dedicated to evidence-based, family-centered care; education and training across disciplines; world-class research; and engaged advocacy for those living with migraine.
Dr. Powers is currently the principal investigator for three R01 awards and a 15-site PCORI mutli-center project: He has over 225 publications, including high-impact clinical trial reports in the Journal of the American Medical Association, New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA Open Network, JAMA Pediatrics, and Headache. Two current studies are focused on brain imaging and conditioned pain modulation approaches. Multi-center projects involve testing of mind and body skills and cognitive behavioral therapy.
